Dear Scouting Colleagues,

Our District Cub Fun Day is now looming large on the horizon, just a week or two after the School summer holidays, and we are hoping that as many Cub Scouts as possible from our District will be taking part.

It is set to be a far larger event than previous Fundays, with a whole new set of challenges and activities for our young people to enjoy.

We would ask for your co-operation in the following areas:

· If you are available to help out on the day with activities and bases, please get in touch as soon as possible. There are a large number of bases to cover (..and not all of them involve getting wet!) so we would appreciate your company on the day.
 

· We realise that not all leaders will be available for the event or indeed might not wish to attend but be aware that does not mean that young people from your section/group should miss out.
Please try and encourage as many of your Cub Scouts as possible to come and join us.
The safety and security of our Cub Scouts is a priority and there will plenty of adult staff at the event to ensure the Cub Scouts’ well being.
 

· Pre-Registration and Payments: In order that we can avoid to much in the way of queuing and waiting around at the start of the Fun Day it would be extremely helpful if you could collect monies and healthform etc., on our behalf prior to the event.
To this end, paperwork will be distributed amongst Cub Scout section leaders around the start of July which will need to be returned to Prances.
